We are writing today to invite you to a celebration—in your honor!
We are the L.A. Chapter of the UCSC Alumni Association, and we want to
welcome you, as the newest members of the Slug family, to the UC Santa
Cruz experience. In order to do that in style, on Sunday, September 10,
we will be hosting the…
4th Annual
NEW STUDENT SEND OFF!
We hope you and your family will be able to join us for a fun and intriguing
day. The New Student Send Off is a great opportunity to meet not just
L.A. Slugs but also other new UCSC students from the LA area.
Now, who exactly are we? The L.A. Slugs are a network of UCSC graduates
living in and around the LA region. There are L.A. Slugs working in film,
theater, engineering, law, politics, journalism, music, architecture...everything!
We are a resource for UCSC alumni and current students and can help you
with career and internship connections. We host monthly alumni events
and meetings. We have chosen to be members of the L.A. Slugs because UCSC
had a strong, positive impact on our lives. We hope attending UCSC will
be wonderful for you, too!
So, here’s the New Student Send Off info:
DATE: Sunday, September 10, 2006
TIME: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
PLACE: West Hollywood Park, in the grove above the south
parking lot.
West Hollywood Park, 647 N. San Vicente Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90069
PARKING: You’ve got a few choices. There is limited
free parking, two-hour metered street parking, and parking for $8 in the
structure across the street at the Pacific Design Center.
